I was at my mom's helping her with her house. My sister was painting 00:01:11.668 --> 00:01:15.796 her mom's house and when I saw the the super moon on my way home and I 00:01:15.829 --> 00:01:21.555 thought, oh boy, get ready because it could happen tonight. Let me do this with all 00:03:51.990 --> 00:03:56.196 my girlfriends and my family and my babies, but I'm not going to do it out 00:03:56.229 --> 00:04:04.229 in the Amazon, you know. So for a while? Yes, I have, I have preterm labor. 00:04:04.778 --> 00:04:09.547 With every single baby starting, um, it gets earlier and earlier, hers, 00:04:09.580 --> 00:04:14.217 it started at 27 weeks. Uh, I didn't save her placenta or eat it this one. Yeah, 00:14:15.379 --> 00:14:19.346 actually my girlfriend is gonna make chocolate out of mine. OK, so then, um Did the baby nurse immediately? No. Hope 00:14:49.178 --> 00:14:55.686 had a little bit of a problem noticing she had a good lip tie, and being 5 00:14:55.719 --> 00:15:02.667 weeks premature was difficult. She um she tried to use the nipple shield 00:15:02.700 --> 00:15:08.986 for a little while. Uh, she had the worst colic and we just had a really 00:15:09.019 --> 00:15:14.625 hard time bonding in the beginning. I mean, she's definitely my baby and 00:15:14.658 --> 00:15:19.385 she's still nursing now, so obviously we got that down, but it was, it was 00:15:19.418 --> 00:15:23.787 tricky. It took us a good 3 weeks to get a really good latch and for her 00:15:23.820 --> 00:15:27.907 to really understand what we were trying to do because she was so she was 00:15:27.940 --> 00:15:34.525 too early. So we were supplementing, yeah, wow, no, I just kept working on 00:15:34.558 --> 00:15:40.807 it, no. During my first trimester, vomiting 00:16:30.038 --> 00:16:34.525 every single day, multiple times a day, all I could do was sleep like that 00:16:34.558 --> 00:16:40.525 was the oh my gosh and they all my kids were planned. I wanted a baby. 00:16:40.558 --> 00:16:44.566 Apparently my husband had been trying to get me pregnant for months, but 00:16:44.599 --> 00:16:49.446 I am so powerful that that won't happen unless I choose it to happen. So 00:16:49.479 --> 00:16:53.936 whenever I want a baby is when we get pregnant. 00:16:53.969 --> 00:16:59.547 And I wanted Destiny so badly. I was ready. I'd never experienced that. I typically have up until 00:17:23.469 --> 00:17:30.756 like 7 weeks is when it starts and it only lasts 1 or 2 weeks, but 14 00:17:30.789 --> 00:17:37.075 weeks was heavy, and I gained 10 pounds, which I thought was really cruel 00:17:37.108 --> 00:17:42.256 to me to like not be eating anything and then to be gaining weight. It's 00:17:42.289 --> 00:17:48.647 awful. 10 pounds is nothing though. It is something when you typically 00:17:48.680 --> 00:17:55.545 lose 8 pounds and instead you're gaining 10. Like that wasn't very nice. 00:17:55.578 --> 00:18:00.565 So, uh, I did everything I could to help myself not be nauseated. I mean 00:18:00.598 --> 00:18:04.835 all these essential sprays, essential oil sprays, and like just nothing 00:18:04.868 --> 00:18:11.946 worked, no ginger candy, nothing. I just had to get through it and. Uh, we 00:18:11.979 --> 00:18:17.867 went on vacation in September and the week that we left, I was driving and 00:18:17.900 --> 00:18:23.315 that really helped, just to concentrate on something else. And I only had 00:18:23.348 --> 00:18:28.906 like a few bouts of nausea since then. And by the time we got back, 00:18:28.939 --> 00:18:35.857 preterm labor started and I was off and on bed rest, drinking. Uh, 00:18:35.890 --> 00:18:40.815 Blackhawk tea and taking cramp our tinctures, and this time we added false 00:18:40.848 --> 00:18:45.946 unicorn to it and another one, but I can't remember the other one. I had 00:18:45.979 --> 00:18:51.486 like 4 tinctures that I was taking on a daily basis and My midwife had me 00:18:51.519 --> 00:18:57.406 trying hard cider, hard apple cider. It is about the same alcohol content 00:18:57.439 --> 00:19:02.647 as kombucha which I drank daily, so I didn't mind having that and it was 00:19:02.680 --> 00:19:07.766 really tasty, but for some reason it really did help slow down the labor 00:19:07.799 --> 00:19:15.085 and I took Epsom salt baths with uh baking soda every single night for 20 00:19:15.118 --> 00:19:20.397 minutes because the magnesium helps to slow that down as well. And then 00:19:20.430 --> 00:19:25.035 also I took a lot of Nature's Calm, which is a magnesium supplements along 00:19:25.068 --> 00:19:30.075 with calcium lactate to to not only help you stay regular during pregnancy 00:19:30.108 --> 00:19:35.956 , but it really does help with preterm labor. It makes you nauseated, but 00:19:35.989 --> 00:19:41.776 at least your labor stops. And 00:19:41.809 --> 00:19:47.496 it wasn't too long after Christmas that so again on bed rest, off bed rest 00:19:47.529 --> 00:19:52.117 , don't clean your floors, clean the floors, like. You know, my house 00:19:52.150 --> 00:19:57.035 doesn't look like a mother lived in it for a while, but that's OK. 00:19:57.068 --> 00:20:02.315 And 6 weeks before she came, I had um my girlfriends did something called 00:20:02.348 --> 00:20:08.545 Seven Sisters where once a day I would have one of my girlfriends show up 00:20:08.578 --> 00:20:13.516 with either food or they'd come and clean my house and we were packing to 00:20:13.549 --> 00:20:19.555 move at the same time, which is awful to be that pregnant and packing and 00:20:19.588 --> 00:20:24.916 moving. And so it was really nice having someone there to help me. That 00:20:24.949 --> 00:20:31.206 really made it good. But by the time I hit 37 weeks, it seems like labor 00:20:31.239 --> 00:20:35.055 kind of shut off for me, and I don't know if it was because I mentally 00:20:35.088 --> 00:20:39.016 reached full term, so I wasn't freaking out about it because there were a 00:20:39.049 --> 00:20:44.835 couple times that my midwives came to pick me up to take me to OB triage 00:20:44.868 --> 00:20:49.176 because I was in labor, but I'd get to the hospital, go through the 00:20:49.209 --> 00:20:54.696 hospital doors, and they would stop. I'm like, I'm so sorry to make you 00:20:54.729 --> 00:20:58.335 come and get me at 11 o'clock at night because I'm in labor for it to stop 00:20:58.368 --> 00:21:02.456 as soon as we get to the hospital. And we even got pulled over one time, 00:21:02.489 --> 00:21:09.717 and I thought I was transitioning, and my midwife yells, Yell louder, so 00:21:09.750 --> 00:21:13.166 that the cop would let us go. 00:21:13.199 --> 00:21:17.166 Make more noise.
