Martin Schuring held orchestral positions with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, The Florida Orchestra and the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra before joining the Arizona State University faculty in 1992. He has been a member of the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra since 1980. Recordings can be heard on Philips, Koch International, MMC, and Summit Records. Martin has performed at every conference of the International Double Reed Society since 1997, and serves on the IDRS Executive Board. He co-hosted the 1998 Conference of the International Double Reed Society at Arizona State University where he is Associate Professor of Oboe. Martin Schuring studied at the Curtis Institute of Music with John de Lancie. Eckart Sellheim received has musical training in Germany and Switzerland; Adolf Drescher and Jacob Gimpel were among his teachers. He was appointed to the faculties of the two major conservatories in Cologne, Germany and continued his academic career as Associate Professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Since 1989, he has been a professor and director of collaborative piano (former piano accompanying) at ASU. He is also a frequent guest lecturer of fortepiano and performance practice at various music academics in Germany, most notably at the Musikhochschule in Trossingen, and taught numerous master classes and workshops in the U.S. and in several European countries. Mr. Sellheim maintains an active performance schedule having made concert tours in the U.S., Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, and throughout Europe, including Russia. He has rediscovered and performed in concert and on CD, a host of unknown piano concertos by classical and romantic composers including Field, Boccherini, and others and he has played the world premiere of Debussy's early piano trio. His longtime collaboration with his late brother, cellist FriedrichJurgen Sellheim, is manifested in an award winning set of recordings on the CBS/Sony label. He appears regularly on radio programs in the U.S. and abroad and has made more than 20 recordings on piano and fortepiano as a soloist and collaborative pianist. Nancy Buck is Associate Professor of Viola at Arizona State University. She holds degrees in performance from the Oberlin Conservatory and the Clelveland Institute of Music. She is in great demand as a chamber musician and artistic collaborator, presenting concerts and masterclasses throughout the United States and Canada. She is an artist faculty member of the Rocky Mountain Summer Conservatory in Steamboat Springs, Colorado during the summers. In 2008, Ms. Buck will host the International Viola Congress at ASU. Carole FitzPatrick received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and two Master's degrees from Yale, then moved to Europe in 1988. After engagements in Dortmund and Osnabruck, Germany, she joined the ensemble of the State Theater in Nuremberg. Her extensive opera repertoire during her 17 years there included Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Strauss and Wagner, having sung Cont'd on hack over 50 major roles in German opera houses, including Hannover, Mannheim, Duesseldorf and Berlin. Her concert work has been extensive as well, including concert tours in France and Spain, and performances in Finland, Austria, Hollan the Czech Republic, Luxemburg, and Russia. Since its inception, Ms. FitzIa has been a vocal advisor for the Nuremberg State Theater's Opera Studio for Yo Singers, giving both master classes and private voice lessons to the participants. She was selected by the City of Osnabruck as "Citizen of the Year" and was named by the professional magazine OpernWelt as one of its "Singer of the Year" candidates. In 2005 she participated in the premiere performance of Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen in Beijing, and in 2006 sang "Donna Anna" in Don Giovanni in Hong Kong. Since August 2005, she has been a professor of voice at Arizona State University. Recent performances include appearances with the Chicago Chamber Musicians, Arizona State Lyric Opera Theater and Symphony Orchestra, Prager Sinfoniker, the Austin Chamber Music Society, and the Berliner Cappella.
