Hundreds of performances as the first solo pianist in the esteemed Afflliate Artists program followed as well. Born in the Dominican Republic of Spanish and French ancestry, his virtuoso playing has been noted for its ardor and drama, a wealth of color, touch and tone, and a remarkable interpretive depth. The New York Times calls him "an acknowledged master" of the Spanish and French repertoire. He is the Director of Musical Education and Artist-in-Residence for the Aybar Academy of Musical Arts in Chandler, Arizona. I. il. ru.
