Thank you. Walter Cosand joined the faculty at ASU at the age of 25. He is an honors graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where he was awarded the bachelor and master of music degrees, as well as a Performer's Certificate. He studied there with Cecile Genhart and Barry Snyder. He studied with Joerg Demus in Stuttgart and with Brooks Smith at Aspen. He was a winner of the Eastman Concerto Competition and the Grand Prize of the International Piano Recording Competition. He has been awarded grants by the German Academic Exchange Service and the National Endowment for the Arts. Mr. Cosand can be heard on ACA Digital, Advance, ARF, Canyon, Centaur, JIGU, Koch and Summit recordings. In addition to playing throughout the US, Mr. Cosand has performed in Europe, Russia, Australia, and in Korea, where he will play three concerts in May 2004. In June he will perform in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City and teach at MasterWorks Festival in Indiana. Performance Events Staff Manager Paul W.
