Ms. Greenfield possesses a formidable technique which she uses for intimate, expressive purposes rather than flashy surface effect." In 2000 she re6orded D-ebussy Preludes, Bks. As pianist with The Kent Camerata, a five-member international vocal and insffumental ensemble, Ms. Thompson recently toured the Republic of heland and Northern helan4 to reviews which acclaimed her "beautiful sound, easy versatility of style, and remarkable sensitivity to phrasing and nuance." Ms. Thompson is recorded on compact disi in ensEmble performances with singers Mary Sue Yyuf and Jane Dressler (song upon song, TimGrabber Digital), with bassoonist David DeBolt-(A ilusical Fainting Comes to Life, Qrys1al_Records, 2001), and wiih piano duo partner Flaine Greenfield (Piano 4Hanis). She holds the Doctor of Music {egree- in PerformanceChamber Music from Northwestern University, where her principal teachers were Gui Mombaerts and Donald Isaak. Ms. Thompson has been on the faculty of Arizona State Uniyersity since 1977 and a member of the Adimant Music School (Adamant, Vermont) summer artist faculty since 1990.
