He received his music education at the University of North Texas, the Manhattan School of Music and the Julliard School. A professor in the School of Music, Britton teaches voice. Program will be announced from stage **There will be a 15-minute intermission** *************** Kenny Chan, originally from Hong Kong, came to ASU in 2004. He began playing the guitar at the age of 13. At age 21, he is now a junior studying under Frank Koonce for his Bachelor of Music Degree in Guitar Performance. This year, he has been chosen as a finalist in the 2007 National American String Teachers Association Solo Competition. Lisa Dektor is a graduate of Duquesne University and Arizona State University. She was a founding member of the Con Spirito Woodwind Quintet in Pittsburgh and was a winner of the Concerto Competition at ASU in 2000. Ms. Dektor is a parent of five children and is currently an elementary school band director in the Gilbert Public Schools. Kaitlynn Kleinman is a junior in the Lyric Opera Theatre program at ASU. She was last seen in Phoenix Theatre's production of Thoroughly Modern Millie as Miss Dorothy Brown. She is looking forward to appearing in LOT's production of Candide later this year after performing the role of Ado Annie for LOT in Oklahoma! last season. Thank you. Sarah Rice arrived in New York City with $100, two cats and a piano. Shortly after, she originated the role of Marianne in a musical adaptation of The Miser called Hang On To Your Ribbons, off-off Broadway. She was next cast as The Girl in the long-running original off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks. She soon appeared as Cunegonde in Candide at the Guthrie, Anne in A Little Night Music, Zan in Regina and Liesl in The Sound of Music. Then Stephen Sondheim and Harold Prince chose her to become part of musical theatre history. She was cast as the original Johanna in Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street on Broadway for which she won a Theatre World Award and recorded the original cast album for RCA. This recording won a Grammy for best show album and Sweeney swept the Tony awards including best production. Leading soprano roles since then include Marie in Daughter of the Regiment, Gilda in Rigoletto, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance and Kathie in The Student Prince. Ms. Rice currently resides in NYC with her husband, John Hiller, five cats and the piano. William Reber, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of ASU's Lyric Opera Theatre, is Professor of Music at Arizona State University. He has been Music Director/Conductor for more than 100 productions of opera and musical theatre works and has also guest conducted orchestral concerts in the United State and Europe. Before joining ASU's School of Music, he was on the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin where he was founding conductor of the Chamber Orchestra, conductor of the UT Opera Theatre and Associate conductor of the symphony. Baritone Robert Barefield is a frequent performer in opera, oratorio, and recital. He has performed with organizations throughout the United States and abroad, including the New Orleans Opera, the Arizona Opera, the Central City Opera, the Ohio Light Opera, Operafestival di Roma and the Mississippi Symphony. Roles include Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Germont in La Traviata, Sid in Albert Herring and John Proctor in Robert Ward's The Crucible. He is a member of the voice faculty at ASU.
