He has been a member of the Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra since 1980. Recordings can be heard on Philips, Koch International, MMC, and Summit Records. Martin has performed at every conference of the International Double Reed Society since 1997, and serves on the IDRS Executive Board. He co-hosted the 1998 Conference of the International Double Reed Society at Arizona State University where he is Associate Professor of Oboe. Martin Schuring studied at the Curtis Institute of Music with John de Lancie. Robert Spring has been described as "one of this country's most sensitive and talented clarinetists", Arizona Republic, and "dazzled his audience...flawless technique", The Clarinet Magazine. Dr. Spring has numerous recordings to his credit. Reviews include: "truly outstanding....one would be hard pressed to find better performances of contemporary music....first rate music performed with the highest professional standards." Spring received three degrees from the University of Michigan as well as the "Citation of Merit Award" from the School of Music. His teachers include John Mohler, David Shifrin and Paul Shaller. Spring is a Buffet Artist, performing the Buffet Greenline Clarinet exclusively He is a Past Presiident of the International Clarinet Association where he has performed for numerous international conferences. He is presently an Evelyn Smith Professor of Music in Clarinet at Arizona State University. Dr. Albie Micklich joined Arizona State University in the fall of 2006. Prior to this appointment Dr. Micklich was on the faculty of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, University of Missouri-Columbia, Michigan State University and University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Micklich holds degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Michigan State University and The Juilliard School. An active chamber musician, Dr. Micklich performed at the International Clarinet Association conference in Tokyo, Japan and the College Music Society conferences in San Antonio, TX, Madrid, Spain and Quebec City, Canada. In his free time Dr. Micklich is a competitive runner and marathoner. .411 Elizabeth Buck is Associate Professor of Flute at Arizona State University. She has previously taught at Indiana University and was Principal Flute with the Phoenix Symphony from 1994-2003. Dr. Buck holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Rice University as well as Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School.
