Takayori Afsumi
Thki Atsumi was bom in Japan before World War II, immigrating to the United
States at 22 years of age to study at the New England Conservatory of Music,
Boston, with the support of a Congregational Church in Springfield, Vermont. He

became a naturalized United States citizen in 1%8. Taki came to ASU,s Music
1964. He has performed solo recitals in some of the world,s major
and in
American art galleries. He was named "Chevalier
