Leslie M au makes her home in Tempe, AZ, where she is an active artist/performer and private teacher. She is pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Clarinet Performance at Arizona State University, where she studies with Dr. Robert Spring. As an international artist, she won third prize in the International Clarinet Association's Young Artist Competition in 2003. Prior to pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree, Leslie received a Graduate Teaching Assistantship in Clarinet at ASU to pursue her Master of Music. Ms. Moreau has received many awards and honors, including a music scholarship to the Indiana University School of Music, where she was a student of Howard Klug and an Arthur R. Metz Scholar. She has performed in the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, and Columbus Symphony Orchestra (IN), and has performed at CBDNA conferences in both Minneapolis and Mount Pleasant, MI. She toured Japan with the IU Wind Ensemble, and twice attended the Belgian Clarinet Academy in Ostend, Belgium. She has studied is master classes, and workshops with many prestigious artists, including James Campbell, Eli Eban, Jorge Mantilla, Luis Rossi, and Eddy Vanoosthyuse.
