FrantiSek Vanicek (* 1969) graduated from Pardubice' s
Conservatoire (J. Rafaja) and Prague's Academy of Arts (J. Hora),
continuing his studies abroad at the Utrecht Academy of Art. In
1991, he won 2nd prize in the Schweitzer International Organ
Competition in Deventer, Holland. In the same year, he obtained the
prestigious Premier prix from the Czech Musical Fund for his
representation abroad. Since 1989, he has given several hundred
solo organ concerts in Japan, the USA, Australia, Singapore, Italy,
Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, The
Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

Audiences and critiques appreciate greatly his ''famous and
admirable way ofplaying" (De orgelvriend, 1991 ), and
his ''fascinating organ playing" (Frankfurter Neue Presse, 1999).
He is an "eminent artist" (Corriere di Torino, 1994) who creates
"organ music to perfection" (Passauer Neue Presse, 2009). Since
1995, he serves as Organ Professor at Hradec Kralove's University
