Herberger Institute ~FOR ARIZONA DESIGN AND THE ARTS STATE UNIVERSITY School of Music BIOS DeAunn Davis is currently teaching horn at the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to living in Reno, DeAunn earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She has performed extensively in the Chicagoland area and was a founding member of the critically-acclaimed experimental chamber group Fifth House Ensemble. DeAunn was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago while earning her Bachelor of Music degree at Northwestern University, and earned her Master of Music degree from DePaul University in Chicago. DeAunn currently holds the position of Assistant Principal Horn with the Boulder Philharmonic in Boulder, Colorado. She has been an artist in residence at Yale University, the New England Conservatory, and Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. DeAunn has also performed with the Honolulu Symphony, the Utah Symphony Orchestra, and traveled to Haiti in 2012 as a faculty member with the Ecole de Musique Sainte Trinite Woodwind Festival. Adam Snider is the Principal Tuba of the Boise Philharmonic and Lancaster Festival Orchestras. He has held this position with the Honolulu and La Crosse Symphony Orchestras in the past, and has also performed with the Utah, Alabama, and Traverse Symphony Orchestras. Adam is currently the Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Nevada, Reno, and Instructor of Tuba at Boise State University. He has performed and given master classes across the U.S. as well as in China, Japan, and Chile. Adam has also enjoyed competing at the North American Brass Band Association Championships with the Chicago Brass Band and playing the stages of Chicagoland with the rock band Black Umbrella Brigade. Interested in the music of our time, he has founded and directed new music ensembles at Western Michigan University and UNR, performed with the Chicago Composers Orchestra, and commissioned works from Miguel Chuaqui, Brian Kelly, Rudolf Rojahn, Karen Olson, and Lachlan Fife.
