This recital would not be possible without the assistance, guidance, and encouragement of so
many people. First, I would like to thank my friends and colleagues here at ASU, especially the flute
studio, for constantly inspiring and encouraging me. I would also like to thank my friends and family
near and far for their constant support. I do not know where I would be without your love and
encouragement. I would be remiss if I did not thank my wonderful parents, for whom I am so, so
very thankful. Their encouragement, support, advice, and love inspires me daily. Today is their 33rd
wedding anniversary, and I am so thrilled that they are spending it here in Tempe with me.
Finally, I would like to thank Dr. Elizabeth Buck. Dr. Buck, besides being an inspirational
flutist and incredible teacher, is perhaps one of the most generous and caring people I know. I am so
grateful that I had the opportunity to spend two years studying with Dr. Buck, at a school where I
was surrounded by the loveliest people.
