He r diverse musical interests have led her to various experiences, includ ing orchestral, operatic, and choral, in both baroque and contemporary repertoire. While still an undergraduate student, she led the Princeto n University Glee Club in performance with the Leipzig Barockorchester in the Thomaskirche in Leipzig. From 2013-2015, she worked with the New York Youth Symphony as an apprentice conductor. Recently, she was a Conducting Fellow at the Atlantic Music Festival, recording many contemporary works. She is also active as a pianist and piano teacher. Kamna maintains a strong interest in music education and has worked with the New York Philharmonic and the Castleton Festival to expand their educational activities. Mark Alpizar is a conductor and clarinetist in pursuit of a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at Arizona State University (ASU) where he is a teaching assistant for the orchestra and has studied conducting with Jeffery Meyer and Tito Muf'ioz. In addition to his responsibilities at ASU, Mr. Alpizar is the Conductor for the South Coast Youth Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director for the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra in Orange County, California. Between both groups he has played two concertos, premiered an opera, performed in the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts, and toured England, Ireland, Spain, Greece, New York, and Sydney. Formerly, he was the Assistant Conductor for the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, and conducted the Collegium Musicum at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach. His previous degrees in music education, clarinet performance, and orchestral conducting were also earned at the Cole Conservatory. In addition to hi s conducting, Mr. Alpizar is the clarinetist of Quintessential Winds with whom he has recorded many world premieres and toured and competed across the country. In addition to directing various instrumental ensembles, Caslor also mentors graduate conducting students, and teaches undergraduate and graduate conducting courses. From 2010-2015, Caslor served as Assistant Professor of Instrumental Conducting at Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada where he conducted the Wind Ensemble and oversaw the undergraduate and graduate instrumental conducting programs. Prior to that, Jason spent three seasons as Resident Conductor with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra (TBSO). During his tenure with the TBSO, he conducted over 75 concerts (including a CBC Radio national broadcast), designed and implemented numerous education and outreach initiatives, was instrumental in helping secure numerous local, provincial, and national grants, and recorded a full-length; internationally distributed CD with Canadian blues artist Rita Chiarelli. Recipient of an "Excellence in Teaching Award" from the Memorial University ofNewfoundland Students' Union in 2012, Caslor also spent several years teaching in the public school system as an instrumental and choral instructor. His commitment to conductor training stemmed from being a faculty member with the annual Canadian Wind Conductors Development Program from 2005-2011. He is active as a clinician, adjudicator and conductor for festivals, honor bands and music camps. Caslor's current research interests include developing a user-friendly iPad application that will allow for the transmission of high quality audio over the internet for the purposes of internet-based rehearsals/clinics, and spontaneous improvisation as it pertains to both conducting pedagogy and large ensembles. In addition to numerous regional engagements, he has presented his research at the 2013 College Band Directors National Association National Conference and the 2015 World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles International Conference.
