L.60 I. Allegro Joseph Haydn Nocturne in C-sharp minor, op.27 n°1 Jessica Zhang Frederic Chopin Cameron Williams Jessica Zhang is a 14-year old freshman at Corona del Sol High School. She has been studying piano with Mrs. Hong Zhu since age 5. Jessica has participated in piano concerts and has won multiple prizes in competitions over the past few years, including first place in the 2016 Steinway A vanti Future Stars Piano Competition, first prize in the Phoenix Youth Symphony Young Musicians Competition, third place in the 2015 Arizona MusicFest Piano Competition, second place in the 2015 Arizona Young Artist Piano Competition, and first place in the East Valley Music Teachers Association Piano Competition in the years 2013 and 2015. Jessica has been winner of the Desert Valley Music Teachers Association Piano Competition in many years. Jessica also plays violin in her school's chamber orchestra. In the past few years, she has participated in the Scripps Spelling Bee in her district as well as math competitions in Arizona. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys swimming, playing badminton, and oil painting. Cameron Williams hails from Tucson, Arizona where he is an honor student at Basis Tucson North. Cameron currently studies piano with Tannis Gibson and his past teachers include Dr.Kim Hayashi and Kay Couch. He has received scholarships to attend the Indiana University Piano Academy, California's Montecito Music Festival, Interlochen Summer Arts Festival and the International Institute of Young Musicians at the University of Kansas. Cameron has won numerous honors as a pianist, including a livebroadcast performanceon NPR's "From The Top." He was First Prize Winner in the MTNA 2015-2016 Arizona Senior Competition and named Southwest Division Alternate in the subsequent MTNA Competition. He has received first place awards in several local competitions including the 2014 Tucson Symphony's Young Artist Competition and the Arizona State MusicTeachers Honors Recital.
