Chair Pillow is a small dance, a short dance in a much bigger 00:01:00.319 --> 00:01:04.635 work called Continuous Project Alter Daily, which is part of the Judson 00:01:04.668 --> 00:01:09.016 Dance Theater. In addition to doing the reconstruction of the work, Chair 00:01:09.049 --> 00:01:14.766 Pillow, we are also reconstructing the work and revising the lava notation. 00:01:14.799 --> 00:01:19.236 That's the current notation score for Chair Pillow. In addition to 00:01:19.269 --> 00:01:22.926 reconstructing the work and revising the Lava notation score, we're 00:01:22.959 --> 00:01:29.665 developing a dynamic interactive online curriculum based on this work. 00:01:29.698 --> 00:01:35.495 This curriculum focuses on Yvonne Rainer. We, we started the process of working together 00:05:00.439 --> 00:05:04.305 with Deborah Hayes circle dances and that's what you see in this image is 00:05:04.338 --> 00:05:09.257 the dancers working together. 00:05:09.290 --> 00:05:13.676 We spent a significant amount of time watching and discussing dance and 00:05:13.709 --> 00:05:19.007 walk, watching and discussing this particular uh movement. Here, students play a game of twister which later 00:05:38.528 --> 00:05:43.515 became a metaphor for struggle more on that in a moment 00:05:43.548 --> 00:05:47.086 after discussing and reading about the social, political and historical 00:05:47.119 --> 00:05:53.176 issues of the 19 sixties, students identified three important struggles, 00:05:53.209 --> 00:05:58.455 the women's movement, the civil rights movement and the Vietnam war.
