On completing either of the above courses a corresponding diploma will be given, entitling the holder to teach in the public schools of the Territory. Students can take an advanced standing by passing an examination in the previous studies of the course, but no one can graduate without attending the school at least 22 weeks. - 3 Territorial Normal School. AJ1[[SSION AND TIJITION. For admission to the Junior Class, the following qualifications are requisites. I. AGE.--Sixteen years. 2. CERTIFICATES. --A vc:.lid certificate, Territorial or County, of any grade. 5. DI?LO&!AS.-- A diploma 01· graduation fro~ any public Grammar or High School. 4. EXAMINATIONS.--Persons desiring to enter, and not having the qualifications required in (2) and (5), will be given such an examination in the common braches as to show that they can be reviewed and completed in the allotted time. TUITION. Tuition is free to those who lntend to teach in t.':e public schools of the Territory; also to those nho are nominated by a member of the legislature. TJiJ!.PE is located near the Salt River in Maricopa County, Central Arizona, nine miles from Phoenix with which it is connected by ~ stages. The climate during most of the school year is unexcelled for comfort and salubrity. The methods of instruction are modem and thorough; subjects are studied rather than text books, and the :;milosopby of things investigated.
