Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants 2011 - 2012 Annual Report AZPA By the Numbers - 2,214 licensed physician assistants - 82 complaints opened - 22 complaints remain open - 112 days on average to complete an investigation - 19 physician assistants monitored under PHP program - 10 disciplinary actions taken - 12 non-disciplinary actions taken AZPA - 8 days on average to issue a new license AZPA Highlights - In partnership with the Attorney General's Office, resolved 75% of all final disciplinary actions through consent agreements. - Completed a Notice of Final Rulemaking for the updated Physician Assistant Rules in the Arizona Administrative Code, which will significantly reduce paperwork associated with PA supervision and delegation. - Implemented a searchable, self-service online solution that provides video recording of our public Board Meetings and gives citizens convenient on-demand access to archived streaming through our website. - Implemented various solutions that increased our overall information security posture; including data loss prevention, disaster recovery, and secure file transfer.
